Consumers are incentivized to pick larger, """safer""" vehicles, but they're only """safe""" because every other car on the road is a massive tank that will turn you into tomato sauce if they hit you. Meanwhile as a pedestrian it's comforting to know that if I ever get hit by a car I will just be dead rather than alive and horrifically mangled
