>>1629559Gevenalle is rebranded microshift. Dia-Compe had microshift make them a "Gran Compe Zero" derailleur in 2010 (10 years ago) but it was expensive for no benefit and the shifters were weird. Some people seem to think microshift are in the same position now that shimano was in the early 70s. Low-to-Midrange but competitive there.
SunRace makes some decent derailleurs, including a 10$ steel friction-shift skylark clone (RD-M10) that is supposedly bombproof.
The thing is you don't have any companies really pushing new tech besides the big 3. Microshift just apes shimano and sram, and SunRace is mostly known for bottom-tier "better than tourney" shit because you actually need to ask for the better things from a catalog an LBS has. They don't sell direct and the retailers with access to their supply don't list anything beyond bottom-tier. If you want a SunRace RDMZ920 12-speed RD it's just not available online.
