>>1700767I live in a little neighborhood just outside of a small town that is rapidly developing urban sprawl. The new developments can't really walk to do groceries, but I've got a nice, affordable, grocery store within a 10 minute walk, or 2 minute bikeride for me. Feels good to have a 100x80ft lot, walking distance from some cafes, restaurants, groceries, pet stores, a game shop, and knowing that a kilometer away there are people paying almost twice as much for a lot half the size, crammed in with their neighbors close enough to scratch their backs for them. No mature trees, no way to go anywhere without driving there. God it was so depressing when I used to live in a place like that.
