>>1094428>>1094902Well it has been Finn feast in the thread again, but I'd like to add that one goal of the route change has been to achieve synchronized network structure, so that the lines would form bunches of 2 that together offer 5 minute interval on the shared section and also would offer similar "every car do to the downtown direction" -experience with interchanges.
You know, reliability (and speed) has been an issue too, so emulating 1940s-esque super tight interval on the typical interchange route core sections, we can make the problem kind of vanish. It's the new school what they do in the world too.
That's why line 1 is crammed into its awkward place to achieve 5 minute interval on Helsinginkatu. Plus possibly as an experiment to see how a north-south line through Töölö would attract people, there have been plans for such too for the longest of times.
