When I ride I wear more casual stuff even if I intend on doing 30 miles. I don't do super long distance. I would wear cargo shorts or dress shorts in the summer, jogger pants in the winter and jeans. I don't want it to look like I'm wearing a diaper underneath.
Surely plenty of bikers don't use padded shorts and they can't all have gooch problems? Are brooks saddle all hype or are they actually good? I may consider saving up instead so I can get something good but a $200 saddle is hard to justify in my opinion, I'm a casual rider looking for something more comfy.
