cyclingabout.com --- half the posts are clickbait, half are decent info.. occasionally a cool test done like a recent study on wind resistance and pannier placement
>>983260I thought I remembered them saying it would be a temporary / semi-experimental model when it first came out.. might be imagining that

>The bike is called the Deadwood. It’s based around Salsa’s Fargo off-road touring bike if you compare frame geometry, frame material and components. The biggest difference between these models is tyre clearance. The Deadwood is a 29+ bike, meaning it will squeeze in 29×3.0 mountain bike tyres; the Fargo maxes out at 29×2.3.http://www.cyclingabout.com/2016-salsa-deadwood-adventure-bike/So I guess the two bikes made eachother redundant and adding clearance to the fargo was the economic solution. Pretty cool. I always wanted a fargo too
The deadwood was cool except for the stock handlebars. I side with guitartedproductions on that one... those drops looked absolutely useless and uncomfortable. Anybody ride like that?
