For me, it’s a necessary evil. I was hit by a car while biking last January and my knees and back got fucked. I ride my bike when I can, but I went from riding 16k miles a year to less than 3k. My commute to work is only 12 miles but that’s quite far for me since the injuries, and I don’t want to ride in the winter anymore. I bike for in-town stuff but take my motorcycle for anything more in the nice weather and use my shit car in the winter.
