Extending the Noord-zuid lijn to Schiphol airport and then Hoofddorp is pretty much necessary since the trains are over capacity. aside from that the routes to Almere (additional artificial islands in red) and Purmerend should induce more construction of housing, and the line between Haarlem and Zaandam would serve as an East-West connection and drive densification in the Noord area.
