But I met a girl on a tour who was riding these on her cross bike and I had 35mm pasela slicks on my cross bike.
We had both done some long gravel routes already and rode together a few days on mostly sealed roads. And you know both tires are alrounders and can handle gravel and pavement, both were 35mm. But she could stand on steep gravel climbs and her rear tire wouldn't slip, which is huge, and I don't think the rolling resistance on pavement was a big difference. Or maybe I'm just slow.
Those clements, or Schwalbe G-one, or something like that, which isn't a slick, is probably what I want next time for mixed gravel/ pavement riding. An 'Allrounder' tire.
