They're utterly useless. Not only are they too close together, making it a mess, prone to wreck your shifters getting your bike in and out (if the tire even fits into the slot), they also make it impossible to lock the bike onto it (unless you use a long, but useless cable lock, or you lock your front wheel to it, in which case you still get to keep your wheel, I guess).
What even are they for? They don't even look good.
