I've been brainstorming a concept for a 19 seat tandem engine utility bird. Pic related is my first draft of the fuselage.
Essentially a scaled up turboprop powered Cessna 337. The key selling point is superior engine out performance: if either engine shits the bed, the remaining engine can continue the flight without interruption, possibly even eliminating the need to make an emergency landing. It also greatly reduces cabin noise making for an excellent "flying tour bus".
It can also be equipped with floats similar to the ones used on the Twin Otter. The configuration potentially allows for safer float plane operations as the front engine can be feathered as the plane taxis toward the dock.
For the engine choice, I would either use the overwhelmingly popular PT6's or if I'm more ambitious the new clean sheet GE Catalysts as used in
>>1537310 , though I'm not sure if those can be installed in a pusher configuration.
