indoor ones are like that in NZ which is fair but outdoor ones are just in parks and they have clubhouses and stuff but you can just go on and ride it if no club event is happening.
I'd love to live near a nice outdoor velodrome. There's one in wellington which is on a hill in a big park, trees to its back, high banking, and a sea view. They even have unlocked hot showers in the toilet block. I'd love to be able to go there at night in summer, smoke a cone, and just zone out on a track bike for an hour listening to music.
Racing cunts does seem fun too.
