>>1345669Cities have couple issues:
>Houses are expensive>Commie blocks are disgustingI used to live in 1950s commie block, and it was "fun".
Roof is leaking, and service won't do a fuck. Electrical is fucked up, since it was converted from 127/220V to 220/380V, and polyethylene insulation, which lasts forever, but flammable as fuck. (pic related sorta)
Heating - no problem +30C inside while outside is -15C... With open windows, since there is no way to adjust this shit, and replacing radiators is expensive.
Tbh, you would get same shit in old house.
Subway is 5 km away from home. Parking? Nobody thought in USSR that in 2019 everyone would own a car, so...
>>1345687Meh, fuck old houses. I'd rather completely rebuild a house every 20-40 years.
>>1345684Idk, I think 1980s houses are still OK, even your American cardboard ones. But you would already have a lot of dirty hacks everywhere, like wiring, etc.
If there is no mold it is probably fine.
Again, your own house - your own hacks. You can hack AC (or heat pump) into it, you can install windows with 3 planes, so heat doesn't leak. You can fix your own roof. You can fix radiators cheaply...
In commie block, or even condo/HOA house, those are limited. You can't just hack AC into commie block, unless you have balls to hang 25 kg unit from window... You can't fix radiators without professional...
