I commute in Phoenix Arizona, USA. Mine is mostly flat, on a roadway that's along the highway. Total the distance is 8.7 miles (14km). It's interesting because the highway exits every so often so the traffic is always moving super fast behind me, but keeping to the right and staying predictable works. This time of year the cycling is excellent, but it will get hot hot hot.
I ride a 1994 specialized hardrock green blue it's a great bike, I hope it fairs well. I came off a fixie and this is a nice change.
