That area and time seems like the sort of place I'd find an SW7 Northern Pacific switcher like that, and I bought the refrigeration car as it was the only NP branded car of any type they were also selling. If nothing else it makes for nice inspiration.
I don't even know where to begin researching for a railroad that was in a country I've never been to and a time period from 70 years ago though, mostly I've just been scrolling through building scenery lists and trying to see if anything popped out at me as being a good idea.
