The best cheap personal helicopter options are the R22, 300C, and various Enstron piston models. Robbies retain their value pretty well because parts and whatnot are everywhere. You can get an old but completely airworthy Enstrom F-28 for between 80-100k. 300Cs can also be found for relatively cheap, they usually are waiting on parts to complete an annual but a factory in Texas just got certified to make new replacement parts so that problem will be resolved soon. Robbies are ideal for time building since you can just sell it when you're done or its timed out. I would not recommend a Robbie for long-term personal leisure use though. You won't put the hours on it to make it cost effective.
