Would it be goofy to paint it black? Or should I just leave it as-is to respect the authenticity of a decent old Japanese bike (Miyata Triplecross from I believe 1993)? I am not even sure how I would paint it correctly...to get it looking nice I think I'd need to take everything off, clean every bit of dirt and grease off and then use an actual paint sprayer rather than spray cans so that would be a pain in the ass.
