Also aircraft don't benefit from hybrid systems as much because hybrid systems only are good for absorbing energy from deceleration. Airplanes can glide long distances so really hot shot pilots try to plan their descents without using the spoilers. You could have some kind of drag inducing device though that windmilled to produce power but you can match the performance with pilot skill. Apparently the 737s are very slippery aircraft and hard to slow down so a lot of pilots end up using spoilers on approach.
Distributed thrust though might be viable because you can use many electric propellers to suck air over lifting surfaces but even then the weight and complexity is hard to offset with enough efficiency.
But yeah are you really implying that an aircraft would use regenerative aero braking to store power for the next flight????
