'stations laid out by transit planners to facilitate fast loading and unloading' the doors are the bottleneck, silly. you gave them car doors, so unless you're going to go full Dahir Insaat and have the entire side of the pod fold up like a Delorean you're going to have people opening the door, squeezing through the narrow doorway one-by-one, finding their seat, then closing the door behind them. and, if you're handicapped or with small children in a pushchair, then no transit for you i guess
