Just came to this board and really thinking of getting one as well. I can’t drive a car and cycle everywhere at the moment.
I’m going to be a medical student soon and this simply seems much more practical than a bicycle.
No sweat when I turn up to placements, no gearing shredding my trousers, no having to lock up the wheels, remove the lights and even then having to worry about some wanker nicking the seat just take it into your room/workplace. You can easily transport a second person and you don’t have to separately charge lights or any of that crap. As a med student I will be travelling to placements all around the country and I can easily fit this into a large suitcase or a car, meanwhile transporting a bike everyn10 weeks or so would be a nightmare.
Obvious con is that there a bit of a death trap but it is what it is really. Another one is that you can’t fit panniers but that isn’t really the end of the world.
I think overall though, the scootbros fucking won.
