Gotta accept a certain level of risk in this field at the professional level. You can get fucked over for almost anything if you are the wrong pilot at the wrong time. Shit my dad got hired at Piedmont in 1986 and was four months on the seinority list from furlough in 2001 at US Airways. There's so much random bullshit like that which will fuck you over in the career
I know I got survivorship bias for getting away lying on my medical, but I've experienced a lot more people who had to FIGHT for SODAs than stories of professionals in this industry being randomly haven their certs taken away due to a riddalen prescription.
Whether or not you fight the FAA for a special issuance or just lie like a chad the people who often get ahead in this industry are the ones who push forward no matter what.
