As for being overcrowded to the point of being dangerous, Japan can into double decker trains more than we can and look how great their capacity still is. Also, the problem isn't the fact that those trains are single decker, as most stuff capable of 125mph is, it's the fact that some Voyagers can be 4 cars long. So overcrowded? No.
