I have had some close calls with nearly smashing into cars etc. If that kind of shit happens you really wont have much control over how you fall. Also my shoes are attached to the bike so controlling a fall will be quite difficult id expect. Im wearing a helmet just for the offchance I fall on my head and so should you.
Im also always wearing proper gloves because if I fall I naturally use my hands to catch myself. Just as important as a helmet desu, fucked up hands will hurt like a bitch in everyday life.
