I'm not talking about something like the UPs Steam program. I'm taking full on the engine never stopped operation with a railroad. It pulls regular trains on a daily basis for normal revinue work. Let's just use the Southern Pacific for an example. What would a Lima GS-6 look like in 1986? What modernized parts would be added, what would be removed? AC units over the cab for the crew? A toilet in the Tender? Additional Water tender? I know what a Modern steam loco built in the 80s would look like (see the ACE 3000) but I'd like to stick to WW2 era steam for this scenario.
