Anyways I’m about to start a grabel build using a vintage lugged Bianchi Nyala I got for ten bucks. For the wheels I have neat Araya 36h x7 that are thinner (like 5/8” instead of the usual 2”). I want the build to be 1x12, so I need XD or MS hubs. Which are hard to come by with 36h. I’d also like them to be silver (but I can alway sand down and polish painted hubs). I think I’d prefer XD since I think I have a spare eThirteen Hive somewhere. Oh I also want it to be normal QR axle, but I guess a thruaxle adapter could work
I don’t want to drop hundreds of $$$ on like Hope or DTswiss boutique hubs. And even the $120 on aliexpress pic related is pushing it (also the fact that who knows if aliex will ship the correct part)
Perhaps I can get just get a cheap used 36h hub off eBay and replace the freehub to XD, but I don’t know the compatibility issues?
