>>1191853So the shape of the hood is important, I prefer SRAMs because they have a big flat platform on top so that no matter how steep the andle between hood and top of the bar is you usually have enough to hold on to. Cheap levers can be very short meaning you can't really use the hoods.
By the flare I on the hood I mean how flared the bar is on the point where you mount the lever. So on the bars on the left the hoods would be more flared on the Cowchipper than the woodchipper even though the woodchipper has a more dramatic flare over all. That being said, facing the levers slightly inward or outward can also exaggerate or decrease the effect of this.
