I go suicidal speeds on busy roads, with lots of downhill sections where I easily get up to motorcycle speeds, of course I'm going to wear a helmet. I have actually laid her down a few times and the helmet has unironically saved me from becoming a vegetable, as it would on a motorcycle because I'm going motorcycle speeds.
what makes me laugh though are the people who "commute" or wobble along at 8mph on some perfectly flat disused railway or MUP and think they need a helmet.
