today i rode to a friend's vigil. she was killed by a truck in nyc this past week. i didn't think this could be a worse day, but i was wrong. two drivers from the same company as the one who killed her got out of their trucks and started shit. the cops came and tried to break up the vigil. there was too much bullshit going on to pay my respects and place a candle - i'm going back in a day or two. really, the lack of empathy amongst people is fucking astounding. i'm devastated.
