as long as there's a little bit of bare axle to sit in the dropout, it's fine.
That will space out the hub.
You can get hub locknuts from any bikeshops trash/random crap bin. Should be a pretty generic size.
That's better than bending imo. Or do it and bend less.
I've done this to fit a 126 hub in a 130 frame with no bending. Worked gud and i rode that bike a lot.
