But really, I feel your pain. The worst part about bicycle commuting here is that it's very unusual, so I try to be completely inconspicuous otherwise I'm sure to get the same questions I've answered 10,000 times before. I actually like talking about cycling, but I've found it's a waste of time answering the usual questions when many people here simply can't wrap their minds around the idea that it's possible to go places without a car - even people who have seen me do it for years...
