Pro: You canget anywhere in the city quite fast, its relatively reliable. Trains are quite modern.
Cons: Fares are expensive. They fucked up when they upgraded tramlines to subways in the 1960s and 1970s and stopped halfways when they ran out of money with the plan to continiue at some point that never came. So we are stuck with this half subway, half lightrail mess. Many stations are filthy and there are too many homeless.
