Trailers are the rage if you find someone to make them in Aluminum
Steel are heavier but you can still find a lightweight model to ride comfortably if its flat
Hit any hills with today's designs and you feel the weight, until you upgrade to Aluminum.
Only one guy that makes them in Aluminum
The Trikes are the same if you go steel or Aluminum, and again there is only one guy making them in Aluminum.
Trikes offer only a slight increase in maneuverability and are more of a single piece novelty that makes a bit more due to it's looks
But a trailer will beat a trike any day of the week at the races....A trike can tip over and a trailer can jackknife if not seated when braking, locking up the rear wheel on a bike pulling it.
Trailers with brakes are safer that without in situations with hills...recommended, if also running a company with new riders that come and go
They both have their own perks and returns that come from the right uses
But remember that most trikes are SLOW....
The Cycles Maximus are 135Lbs or so
The Main Streets are about 135-150 depending on models
The Trailers come in around 100-140 in steel and down to around 40-60 in Aluminum
The Aluminum Trailers fly around town and are really the smoothest on the road and Trike operators hate that fact that they get made to look like snails when getting buzzed by the Trailers flying by in a race....
