>>1452395>>1452396>>1452399Mechanic at a Trek dealer here. The "diameter" of the grip section of the handlebar is 22.2mm, just like ever other bike, not 31mm. But the one anon is right, the white section is actually "built in" to the bar, and the bar itself isn't round in that spot. If you replaced it with a lock-on grip, it should be OK. Just keep the white section on the bar. If the locking collar is on the outside, just be sure to use the end plugs that are currently on the bar so it creates a solid circumference for the collar to grip. Here's a decent photo of the bar if you're unaware of how it is set up.
