According to various JR companies, they will enforce a new security policy regarding carry-on objects (aka trying to ban sharp objects and knives) in response to the knife attack incident on Nozomi 265 earlier this year. Although I'm not sure how they'll enforce said rules / guidelines from MLIT
http://www.mlit.go.jp/common/001267363.pdfJR Shikoku just took delivery of their "new" 2700 Series tilting DMUs from Kawasaki, it is basically the same as the 2600 Series but it uses the pendular tilting system based on the 2000 Series DMU instead of pneumatic tilting system since the capacity of the air tanks in the 2600 Series were not sufficient for the amount of curves it had to go through.
