Thats why america collectively lost their shit when fuel prices went up, they literally cant afford their cars and dont have any other option to get around - what are they going to do, NOT buy fuel? NOT go to work? Who benefits from this paradigm? Oil companies. A bicycle is true freedom, and even the dreaded schedule of a bus or subway grants you more freedom with respect to mobility then a car ever will.
