Im in the market for a bike with a compact frame geometry. Can somebody explain to be why the saddle and hoods are usually almost level? Is this due to compact frames having a longer headtube? Why does a racing bike with a compact geometry have less saddle to handlebar drop than a bike with a straight toptube? I thought racing bikes were supposed to be aggressive.
