>>2054955drip wax is literally less maintenance than oil based. The only hard part is stripping a fresh chain to bare metal for the initial application. And even that is as simple as leaving a chain in mineral spirits for a week then flushing it with degreaser and water. After that you just drip on the wax on every link like you would a oil lube. zero maintenance outside of that and your chain lasts forever.
I never wipe my chain, never dunk it on boiling water, nothing.
