considering trying fixed-gear riding and would appreciate thoughts any experience fixie anons have.
so I've been biking since I was a kid, but starting doing a fair amount of tours (5 days, four nights max), centuries, and city riding (commuting, park loops, leisure rides).
i own a 200X Jamie Aurora with thousands of miles, a mint stock 199X Bridgestone RB-2, and a mechanically-sound Nishiki Tri-A (pic rel).
basically -- should I buy a cheap fixie on CL, o convert the nishiki (which is very fun to ride as is)? how much should i look to spend going either way?
And any start-out tips with fixed-gear riding? I'm experienced at in-traffic riding in ny. but seems without coasting that will be a whole different thing.
thanks guys.
