Bikes are a solved problem. You can get a bike now for less than 1k USD that's as good as the bikes used in Tour de France in the 90's. If you can't keep up with Pantani, you need to upgrade your legs, not your bike.

Lately, I've been seeing way less boomers riding bikes, mainly because they're afraid other boomers will run over them, which is great. I leave the bikepath for people commuting and learning, I ride on the street since it's my fucking right.
