If you have specific questions OP, I'll try to answer them, but there's no single secret technique that makes it easy, you just have to commit to riding and sorting out challenges as they occur and learn to dress yourself appropriately for weather conditions as they come.
At least where I live, the most common challenge is dealing with the opinions, judgements, and annoying questions of people who will never, ever understand that's it's possible to live without a car. I'm a resolute person who can shrug off the disapproval others without a care, but not everyone can do that, and that's definitely a barrier that discourages many people from going car-free.
