>>1683356Brakes are nice if you’ve gotten to the point where you’re comfortable with them, you can get new ones with more adjustments for the lever and pad contact, more pistons is nice too, high quality brake pads cost basically as much as cheap ones so get good pads when yours wear out, grips are good to play around with, find your preferred thickness. I really like suspension swappable parts like $40 airsprings and $150 dampers, I really wanna upgrade my basic ass rear shock entirely though
Tires are massive, always be trying new tires and pressures and casings and tpis, wheels don’t make that much of a difference but other than weight (which is important, but you might not be getting the weight savings you expect) and you’ll feel a difference in tires or pressure way before you feel wheel compliance
>>1683361I bought a bike built up with speedtuned exile wheels last year and while being pretty cheap, they’ve been really impressive, I’ve gotten into stupid shit and those wheels never even had a dent. They are well protected by my doibledown casing tires though
