>>1654738 are shit, they are heavy as fuck and the hinge is both a common failiure point and a constant creaking point from the factory and until said failiure. I parted out two of those shits broken clean in half. Actual Dahons work because the hinge is down low and the wheelbase is short, once you put it that high and even suggest that the bike has some semblance of performance they just snap.
Actual Montagues are very solid, the only real failiure point is the QR skewer that is cheap and easy to replace as preventative maintenance every couple years and doesn't lead to a catastrophic failiure of the entire bike when it snaps (lean left and brake gently if that happens). They aren't really made for rolling around folded (you can do it but it's awkward), but with front wheel off they are slightly more compact than the upside down Dahons, and a lot lighter. The only issue is that they usually come with borderline BSO-tier components.
