Any significant difference between 26" and 700c tires on road? I read that 26" are better for stop-and-go since they accelerate faster but 700c are better at efficiently maintaining speed once you get them going. I do a lot of city riding for 4+ hours a day. Current bike is rigid 80's mtb with slick 26" road tires, steel frame, weighs like 38lbs with rear rack. Just want the most efficiency for 3+ hour long stop and go riding. Also a lot of semi-steep climbs in my city.
