What do you mean by "4 bearings" though?Yeah, I know 6-8 month is not dramatic, but with mtb, they could easily last over year. I greased them recently, they were almsot 100% DRY - I think its the bigger road speed and more rotations/year that pushes grease out (after I repack them fully, usually it pushed some grease out).
4 bearings - 2 hubs, threaded headset, cup cone italian BB. Its a lot of work and I built my own front wheel recently.
