https://janheine.wordpress.com/2012/08/12/suspension-losses/Do i understand this article right?
My father rides a 700/23mm road bike at 120psi. I ride a steel commuter MTB 559/50mm @ 60psi with front suspension. Sometimes we ride low quality bike roads with pot holes, bumps made by tree roots, cracks and stuff.
Do i expend less energy (less watts) when we ride on these roads using a MTB which is 1,5 times heavier and more spongier? I am thinking about buying a road bike but if this article is true then i just need to get a new steering tube for them aero gains and i am done because riding a proper road bike would be actually harder on most surfaces i ride on.
