>>1724821It's not about weight, it's about fitness. You're unknowingly working out muscles you've never used much. Go to the gym and do "every day is a leg day" for a while, especially focus on this thing because these muscles are how you hold onto the bike. You don't have to go full watermelon-crushing thighs, but you do need both strength and endurance down there.
The bike is heavy but once you get going it gets much easier. If you're light then you can't wrestle it like big burly men can, you'll have to learn to make the bike do all the work. Nonchalantly mention countersteering to your instructor and he'll explain it much better than I will.
>>1724877Scooter is slightly different, you don't hug it with your thighs. In terms of learning how to bike, it's still not perfect, though it's heaps better than bicycle as you don't put weight on handlebars. Don't put weight on handlebars by the way.
You don't have to balance both sides when standing. If the bike is actually too tall for you then you can lean over to one side (preferrably right one because left has the shifter, though it's better to learn both ways) and, important, don't be afraid to put the foot further from the bike, good footing is more important than smaller angle. Ability to get the bike straight and balanced on your toes is nice but you can learn to do without it. I knew a girl who was 157 and rode a GS boxer as a daily and did cross on enduros that seemed too tall even for me.
