>>1785828If you want to do some bikepacking on it, go for some mechs. Just less fussy and if god forbid anything goes wrong while youre out in the middle of nowhere, a cable is easier to mend than hydraulic lines.
That being said, hydros are noticeably stronger, I can still lock up my mechs though just fine. Your hands might get a little more sore from squeezing harder on a long/sketchy gravel descent, but that's about the only "problem" Ive had after getting mechs on my gravel bike.
