>>1839528Yeah, not that anon but in the last city I lived in (Manchester, UK - half a mil pop in the city centre, but 2.8 mil in the greater manchester metropolitan area) has a tram system, Metrolink that serves the whole area. Average line length is about 8 miles or so - most are well under that with a couple of high-length ones, the longest being 14.8 miles.
