Minneapolis-St Paul could be worse but it's not great. I wish the metro went more places, it's a really good service and I'm super stoked that I live by it. If it were extensive, it would seriously rival some major public transit cities.
We have a good bus system in tandem with our trains as well. You can get pretty much anywhere (in a timely manner) if you combine the two.
