My legs felt fantastic today after yesterday's day off. Wind was forecast to be at least 30 kph, so I reduced my planned route to 80 km. West wind started at 20 gusting to 35 km/h and worked its way up to 30 gusting to 50 km/h. The majority of my route was north / south so I had the wind straight on my side most of the time. This made dealing with the wind surprisingly easy aside from having the bike constantly tilted sideways about 10 degrees.
Aside from the wind I love riding this time of year. Today it was 21 °C with low humidity so it felt great. September / October end up being two of my highest mileage months. Tomorrow is supposed to be calm, which will be nice. 40 mm of rain forecast for the weekend, so that could kill dirt riding for the better part of a week.
